Richard Lee Jones passed on 7/25/2016 at his home after a long battle with COPD. Dick was born in Medford Oregon to Lester and Pearl Jones on August 30, 1932. He is survived by his wife Jessie of 59 years. Sons Steve and James, daughter Pamela. Surviving brothers, Lyle, Bill, Danny, Michael and sisters Judy Jones and Kathy Brasfield. He is also survived by his grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dick graduated from South Kitsap and the University of Washington, where he majored in Business Administration. Dick retired from the Harrison Memorial Hospital where he was the Vice President of the financial sector.
Dick loved his family and planned most vacations to include them. They went camping, traveling, golfing, clam digging, sitting around the campfire playing the harmonica, and telling stories. He loved his puns, and one liners. For the last 25+ years, Dick and Jessie spent their winters in Indio, CA, where they played lots of golf, and traveled to Reno, and Laughlin.
Dick served in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved his country immensely, and was a staunch conservative
A private memorial for family and friends will be held at their son's home in Mt Vernon.
