Richard William Rawnsley

Richard William Rawnsley, a longtime resident of Morongo Valley, peacefully left this world to join his lord and savior, in his home on 9/22/2025.

He was a professor of English Composition at College of the Desert.

He graduated from Indio High School and California State University San Bernardino and worked in the printing and publishing industry many years before joining the faculty at the College of the Desert.

Survivors include his wife Tracy, son Samson and his wife Katja, daughter Lorae and her son Chace, brother Rob and his wife Cassy, as well as many nieces and nephews who he cared for deeply.

Details of services to be held in Morongo Valley will be announced via social media at a later date.
