Rick Lee Wright

Rick Lee Wright, February 26, 1956-February 21, 2026. The second born to Margie and Fred Wright in Phoenix Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Jo of 48 yrs, brother Tom, and sisters, Cindy and Patty. Rick liked hunting, fishing, ATVing, and watching sports of all kinds. His favorite things to do were hiking with friends and watching the elk in Payson, Arizona

He was very resourceful, started working at a young age mowing yards, selling candy and when he became of age working at Northern Drive-in movie theater. With his exceptional attention to detail, he was a successful printer for 25 years. When the printing industry was taken over by technology, he became a school bus driver for special-needs students. There he touched the lives of many. His gentle heart allowed him to connect with those exceptional students and their parents.

His wish was to be remembered as a trusted friend and a person who deeply loved his family, he was once described as “the quiet gentleman always standing back, checking out the situation and then doing whatever was needed”, never expecting anyone to notice or give him any recognition.

He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. The celebration of life will be held in Payson with a tree being planted in the place he loved the most.
