It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Eugene Blew (Mollet), 68, on Monday, February 16, 2026 of natural causes. Born in Peoria, Illinois to Mary Lou (Blew) Mollet and Leo Emil Mollet on April 23, 1957, Bob enjoyed teasing his favorite Niece Tiffany Mollet and was known for joking with her to get her laughing.
He is survived by Sister Michelle Mollet-Singley (Husband George Singley), Brothers Tom Mollet (Wife Janet Cross Mollet) Joe Mollet (Wife Lori Carter Mollet) and Tim Mollet. Bob was Uncle to Tiffany Mollet, Will Mollet, Blaise Mollet, Carissa Mollet, Jocelyn Mollet and Dawson Mollet. He was predeceased by Mother Mary Lou Mollet, Father Leo Mollet and Sister Vicki Sue Mollet.
Bob was a paperboy in Wapella (Illinois) as a youth, a 1975 Graduate of Wapella High School and a Navy Veteran. He loved creating floral arrangements and did so for family weddings and events. Robert lived the majority of his adult life in Seattle Washington with his long time friend, whom he provided care Floyd Hilman and worked in a hospital (Harborview Medical Center) for many years. He was a FANATICAL 12s member, cheering on the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS football team through good times and bad. He would love to have flowers created and sent to a local hospital for patients or a donation to the American Cancer Society in memorial.
A Celebration of Life will be on April 25, 2026 at the Wapella Community Building including a Veteran’s Honors/Ceremony at noon.
