Robert Moore Coates

Robert (Bob) Coates, born March 4th 1934 in St. Louis Missouri, passed away peacefully on the evening of September 8th, 2013. He was a retired Veteran of the United State Navy, where he served as a Corpsman and a Submarine Chief. An avid supporter of local community, Bob Coates was a member of the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association, Submarine Veterans of San Diego, the Exchange Club, and Boy Scouts of America, in addition to volunteering with the Santee Sheriff's Department. He is survived by his two sons, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The entire family greatly appreciates Robert's special friend and companion Gayle. Thank you for being one of the last lights of his life. Robert Coates will be greatly missed.
