A distinguished fighter pilot in the Air Force, Robert dedicated his early years to serving his country, demonstrating a deep commitment to excellence that extended beyond his military service. After completing his tenure in the Air Force, he pursued further education and earned a master's degree in nuclear and laser engineering. This achievement set the foundation for a successful career at EOS, where he worked diligently to provide for his family throughout the years.
Robert was a devoted father and is survived by his three children: Brian Scott Darby, Kathleen Ann Darby, and Karen Elizabeth Castaldi. He took great pride in his grandchildren, Tommy Castaldi, Darby Castaldi, and Dominic Castaldi, cherishing the time spent with them and celebrating their accomplishments. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews who appreciated his loving nature and wise guidance.
Robert was preceded in death by several cherished family members, including his mother Isabella Darby (Bezold), his father Frank Darby Sr., and his brother Frank Darby jr his ex-wife Rachel Pouliot Darby, his long-time partner Jeanean De Shane, and his granddaughter Jessica Darby.
