Robert Michael Geweniger was born, August 18, 1945, in New York City, New York, the oldest child of Anne Marie Terranova and Robert Max Geweniger. He passed suddenly on November 21, 2018, in the Serria Madre Mountains while hiking and birdwatching.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Molly Giovanna (Eric) Markstrum and lovely granddaughter, River Annalee and significant other, Sharron Morgan.

Robert was one of seven children. His surviving brothers and sisters are Richard (Barbara) Geweniger of Arlington Heights Illinois, Ronald (Ginny) Geweniger of Reddington Beach Florida, Roxanne (Kirk) Soden Homasossa FL, Rosemarie (Dean) Westlund Lockport Illinois, Renee (Phil) Zoltowski, of Oak Park, Illinois and Randy (Johnna) Geweniger North Aurora Illinois. He also was the uncle to 22 nieces and nephews, great-uncle to 16 great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-uncle to, 2 nieces and nephews.

His achievements included a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern in Illinois, a proud volunteer for the Catholic Worker house in Davenport, Iowa, an announcer for various radio stations, a respected teacher of the American Broadcasting School in Wausau, Wisconsin, and a writer for the Wausau Daily Herald.

Robb and his wife owned and operated Wild Bird Crossing in Wausau, Wisconsin. Later
he had also been a writer and news director for WJMT/ "Z104" in Merrill, Wisconsin.

When he moved to California he was employed for Farmers Insurance.
Once he retired he joined a bowling league, participated in the Ventura County Writers Club, and created a place to share ideas and blog through his own website.

He enjoyed travelling throughout the United States and Italy. A couple of his best memories were walking through the small streets of Rome and among the giant Sequoias in Sequoia National Park with Sharron Morgan, long-time companion.

Robb had many passions: nature, bird watching, Shetland Sheepdogs, radio, bowling, education, excellent writing, and fantastic puns. He was always ready to share his brilliant wit with anyone. Robb loved his family and friends and always brightened up the party or the day. His love of reading transcends throughout his family. He shared his love of books and reading to his granddaughter and gifted books to friends and family on many celebrations.
