Bob was born in Whatcom County, he was the sixth and youngest child of Carl and Irene Muenscher. He grew up on the family farm and went to school in Lynden where he graduated in 1949 from Lynden High School. He met and married Joan A. Reimer, Together they lived and worked on their Dairy Farm on E. Hemmi Rd. They adopted 2 Sons Rodney and John and raised the 2 boys on the dairy. He and Joan loved people and social activities, Bob became very active in the community and discovered he had a passion for politics. He understood the concerns of his neighbors and fellow Dairymen, so he ran for office as County Councilman and won the position to represent Whatcom County in legislature. He and Joan would travel to Washington D.C. and New York to meet with Senators and Congressmen to represent and protect what was a way of life in Whatcom County, A Farmers Life, Family life, His Life. Bob was a longtime member of the Lynden Camels Club where he made lasting friendships and bonds with his club brothers.
Bob would move forward thru the years taking on and tackling different endeavors until his retirement. He enjoyed Wintering at Fountain of Youth in California, and the friendships he made and activities he would join in. During the Summer He lived in Lynden Where he enjoyed catching up with his friends and family usually around a barbeque. He loved going for drives around the County, and watching John work on one of his jobs. Pa would join us for our barbeques and camp outs on the farm, as well as holiday and family functions. He always would have a pocket of M&M's and big smile for his Great Grandkids. Pa has been the matriarch of our family especially since the loss of Gram, We are sure that they are having lively conversation together in Heaven. We will miss Pa as we have missed Gram.
