Robert Ackerman Thees

Robert A. Thees ( January 19, 1936- October 5, 2021) Robert (Bob) Thees was born in Salt Lake City and moved to Seattle as a young boy. As a young man he started work selling shoes in a department store which is where he met his lovely wife , Marlene. He then went into the cement business, and ended up spending his career in that business. Some of his greatest accomplishments was the cement that he sold to help with the base of the Seattle Space Needle, and the "Big Dig" out east. He started with Colombia Cement and ended his career with Glens Falls Cement company. He married the love of his life, Marlene, who passed in 2017. He is survived by his daughter Shelly (Husband Stan) and son Mark ( Wife Rita). He also has many grandchildren, Jonathan, Anthony, Sarah, Mark Jr, and Joshuah and great grandchildren Madison and Nathaniel. He was a veteran in the Air Force Reserve in Seattle. He loved to travel the world, and cruise the oceans. He lived in Washington, Ohio, New York, Arizona, and California. We will miss him greatly and happy he lived a long happy life. He will be cremated and no service is planned at this time as those were his wishes. Please celebrate his life ! In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimers association.
