Robert E. Thomas of Gig Harbor, WA passed away in Olympia, WA on August 28th 2018. Born on April 16th, 1945 to Elmer Thomas and Mildred Huber, Robert always dreamed of attending the Forest Ranger Academy but instead enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965 and was stationed in Livorno, Italy where he met Diana J. Gasperetti of Tacoma, WA. The two married on October 26th 1968 and had three children, Ken, Lisa and Tania Thomas. Robert was the warehouse manager of Puget Sound Beverages from 1969 to 1977, was the owner of the Brinnon General Store where he was known as "Almost Honest Bob" from 1978 - 1985 and was the top salesman for over a decade of Merchant Supply Inc. a company that sold over the counter sundries throughout western Washington state. He always loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and just being in nature and was most at home in the woods. He is survived by his brother, Delbert Thomas of Old Forge, PA, his former wife, Diana J. Gasperetti Thomas-Martin, his three children and his grandchildren, Dyarah, Giovanni, Sophia and Christine. A service will be held in his honor on Mount Rainier.
