Robert Cole Vinyard

Robert was born December 7, 1947 and passed away on April 14, 2019. He was born in Salem, Oregon to the late Mary Cole and Moses Depriest Vinyard. Robert joined the military at the young age of 17, serving in the Army, Navy, and National Guard. After completing his military career, he worked as an engineer and general contractor. He enjoyed photography, and outdoor sports, especially hiking with his longtime friends, Gerald and Kathy. He is survived by his sister, Mary Sample; niece Denise Weibel and husband Marty; nephews, Duane Maki and wife Ormezinda, James Maki and wife Jin. Daughter Christi Garcia; grandson, Esteban Garcia; granddaughters, Stacey Cortez and husband Marcus, Gena English and husband John; great-granddaughters, Rebecca, Georgia, Zoe and Taylor. Special friends and caretakers, Kathy Steinert Eger and Bill VanGilder.
Memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
