Roger Charles Pyle

Roger leaves behind his children and step-children, Terry, Toni, James, Lisa and Susan. His wife, Nancy, was the light of his life. She had recently passed away and he missed her. Roger's son, Charles, also preceded him. Roger leaves behind his brother and sister, William and Virginia.

Roger had a bachelors degree from UC Santa Barbara. He was an engineer and programmer who spent most of his career as a sales engineer. He was mechanically inclined, and was able to expertly tackle nearly anything from a car rebuild, brake job, repair to the foundation of a house, or rebuild on a computer. He was a skilled carpenter and he built furniture and completed a home addition. Although raised a Quaker, he served in the Army. He entered Army service in 1962 as a Signal Officer on active duty at Fort Huachuca, AZ, he served in the Reserves, and attained the rank of Captain.

Roger and his wife Nancy were active in local and national politics, and were world travelers. They visited almost every country on the globe. He liked football and golf, and was a fine golfer. He made friends easily and did so everywhere he went. Roger liked cake and ice cream, popcorn, and enjoyed finding new restaurants and trying new food. He had beautiful blue eyes and a smile that lit up a room. Roger would talk to everyone and joke around. He was incredibly smart.

Roger was mentally stable and participating in activities until just before the end. His loved ones were with him when he passed. He was a witty, creative, industrious person who will be missed.
