Ron Foumal, 86, died of cancer on Sunday, September 1, at 6:17pm peacefully at home with family present. Ron was born January 17, 1933 in Portland OR. After graduating from Benson High School, he joined the Air Force where he was radio operator and served in Korea. Once out of the service he married Frances Driscoll and began working for Safeway Grocery Stores. As a store manager he was transferred to Forest Grove OR. and retired after 35 years. Ron also drove long haul for Pendleton Woolen Mills and Stewart Stiles for 11 years. After retirement he worked 12 years for Long Bottom Coffee. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Frances and 6 children. Michael Foumal, Leisa Redelsperger, Tracy Baller, Leila Thorne, Denise Gonzalez and Mark Foumal as well as 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Services to be held September 20th, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church 1660 Elm St. in Forest Grove, OR. A reception following services will be held at the Parish Hall. There will be a private Veteran's burial, with a date to be determined.
