Ronald Paul Johnson, age 84, passed Friday May 31. He was born on September 5, 1934 to Paul and Elva Johnson in Yakima, Washington. Ron is survived by his wife Linda Faye (Nichols) Johnson; children Cynthia Annette Rhinevault (Tom), Susan Dianne Montenegro, Jeffrey Ronald Johnson (Shannon), Steven James Johnson (Lisha), and Michelle Ruth Adams (Larry), as well as 13 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and sister, Carol Christine Ropp.
On September 19,1958 Ron Married his loving wife of 60 years. He was very active in church serving as a Deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and active with the youth group and the Royal Rangers. He served in the US Air Force in the Security Service Division, where he studied Russian during the Cold War. He worked as an engineer at Boeing for 35 years including work at Huntsville, Alabama on NASA projects. A man of adventure, Ron spent four years in the oil fields in Indonesia and then returned to work for Boeing again. Finally, in 1994 he retired to travel in an RV with his wife all over the US.
His final years were spent with loving care at Warm Beach Convalescent Center in Stanwood, Washington. A man who loved God, family, and country with all his heart, he was comforted by his wife and five children who were present as he left for his journey to Heaven.
Ron will have a military service at the Tahoma National Cemetery June 20 at 10AM followed by a memorial service at the Grove Church in Marysville, Wasington at 2PM.
