Ruth Roddick was a daughter of The Lord, Our God, first and above all else. Secondly, she loved her family fiercely and finally, she loved this nation, in that order! Ruth moved to San Marcos, TX with her family at age 13, along with her parents and her 6 siblings. She learned to speak English as a young lady and has appreciated the freedoms and possibilities she found in the land of her father. Ruth loved reading and did a daily devotional with the bible. Her relationship with Christ and her dedication to sharing The Gospel is the first thing anyone, she truly knew, would tell you about her. She reveled in her dedication to her faith, her marriage, her children and her grandchildren. The daughter of a missionary,
Ruth knew the value in spreading the Good Word. Ruth lead many Bible studies and taught Sunday School most of her adult life. She taught Sunday school the morning before she passed. Ruth has been on numerous mission trips, volunteered at the local prison, Crisis Pregnancy Centers and embraced every opportunity to spread God's word. Only regret... not visiting The Holy Land in her lifetime.
Her family will celebrate the life of this amazing woman in a private memorial service September 11, 2021.
