Mrs. Sandra Ann Fritschi, age 69, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away at home on Wednesday December 20th, 2023 following a long battle with cancer.  She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas Fritschi, and their three children, Lynda Hounshell (Paul), Daniel Fritschi, and Kevin Fritschi (Karen), as well as 5 grandchildren and 1 step grandchild, Zachary Hounshell, Arwen Hounshell, Scarlett Fritschi, Paxtyn Fritschi, Daisy Fritschi, and Adreanna Ponti.  She is also survived by her siblings: Bernadette George, Samuel Virga, Anita Dugan, Jennie Johnston, Christine Sutka, Susan Virga, Rosalind Bingman.  She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anita Virga and her brother Frank A Virga III.

Sandy was born on July 15, 1954 in Washington D.C. and the family moved to Western New York when she was young.  She eventually settled in Niagara Falls after marriage and moved to Florida in 2015 upon retirement.  Sandy passed her R.N. boards and nursing license and worked in various hospitals in WNY and eventually got her bachelor's degree in nursing from Daemon College in Buffalo in the mid 1990’s.  She ended her career working as a medical software specialist for a company that installed software for health insurance plans.

Sandy made friends everywhere she went.  She was truly an angel on earth.  She was kind and caring, generous, loving, and sweet.  She was a lovely woman that made others feel comforted and welcomed.  She was active in her local and church communities.  She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, and made beautiful handmade cards for friends and family. Sandy thoroughly enjoyed spending every moment she could with her grandchildren. Regardless of where they lived, she would travel the nation to be there for them.

In Sandy’s later years, she found comfort and true belief in her faith in God. She made the effort to share her faith with all without judgment knowing that they would find their own path to God.

Luke 6:38
