Sara M McLellan

Sara McLanahan McLellan, of McKinney, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25,  2023 with her daughter by her side.

Sally was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who dedicated many years of her life to helping others. She was an avid reader, traveler, and loyal Penn State fan. She held a special place her in her heart for the places she lived: State College, PA; New York, NY; Keene, NH; and Palm Beach, FL.

She received her Bachelor of Science from Penn State University where she double majored in Chemistry and Biology and belonged to the Alpha Phi sorority. She later received her Master of Occupational Education from Keene State College.

Sally retired from the Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL after 15 years of service as a dietitian.

She was born on October 1, 1940 in Harrisburg, PA to Robert Gray and LaRue Dewey McLanahan.  She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her son, Jonathan Robert Felch of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter, Nancy Felch Melhorn of McKinney, TX; and three granddaughters, Sage Elizabeth Felch, Lilian Gray Melhorn, and Mimi Tate Melhorn.

Services will be held at Chase Oaks Church in Fairview, TX.
