He was kind and generous, industrious and wise.

Scott William Pressler passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. Scott was born in 1946 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He moved to California as a child and lived most of his life in the South Bay with his four brothers and his beloved mother, Ruth.

Scott is survived locally by his son, Matthew, his daughter-in-law, Jessica, and their two children Lilly and Mallory. His out of state family included his daughter and son, and his grandchildren Josie and Ella.

Scott graduated from Hawthorne High in 1965 and received his Bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Southern California in 1969.

Scott worked as a Human Resources executive a wide variety of industries including the retail, hospitality, banking, entertainment, and medical fields.

He was kind and generous, industrious and wise.

Many thanks are due to the wonderful friends and family who reached out to give condolences, the people at his memory care facility that tenderly cared for him this past year, and a special thank you to his long term partner and her daughter, Ellen and Elaina.

He will be greatly missed!
