Sheila Ann (Scott) Maluski
August 8, 1944 – February 21, 2026
Sheila Ann (Scott) Maluski, 81, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026. Sheila was born on August 8, 1944. She was raised in Underwood, ND and developed a lifelong love for her community and family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Maluski; her parents, Arthur and Josephine Scott; her son, Steve; and her sister, Mary.
Sheila is survived by her loving children: Stephanie (Joe) Frausto of Bellevue, Washington; Stacy Repnow Marrujo of Granville, ND; and Kimberly (Pierre) Sarte of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Nick, Drew, Josh, Brianna, Dane, Hannah, Thomas, Noah, and Jay who brought her endless joy. Sheila is further survived by her siblings: Pat (Steph) Scott; Tim (Cindy) Scott; and Jim (Mary) Scott all of Bismarck, ND and her brother-in-law Ron Landenberger of Mandan, ND.
Sheila grew up in Underwood and enjoyed working alongside her father at the Underwood newspaper. As an adult, she continued her career in journalism at the newspaper in Underwood. After moving to Stanley, she proudly served as the business manager for Stanley Public School, where she was known for her dedication, organization, and kindness.
Sheila treasured time spent with friends, especially gathering to play cards and share laughter. She loved being a mother, but being a grandmother was truly the highlight of her life. She delighted in planning activities for her grandchildren—baking, arts and crafts, trips to the park followed by a Whirla-Whip, camping adventures, and even special train rides. She also loved traveling with her husband, Richard, especially enjoying their trips to Texas and other places together. She had a remarkable talent for knitting and sewing and often shared her handmade creations with those she loved.
Sheila will be remembered for her warm heart, creativity, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to her family. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue through all who knew her.
At this time to honor her wishes, there will be no memorial service. In the future, we are hoping to have a family gathering.
