Stephen “Steve” T. Bove was born July 13, 1969 in Pasco, WA to Robert C. Bove and Verena R. Warrick. He passed away February 16, 2025 in Puyallup, WA at Good Samaritan Hospital where he gained his angel wings to be with Jesus after a short battle with complications from Lymphoma.

Steve graduated from Kennewick High School in 1988, where he played baseball and football. He loved sports, especially baseball and football. He played a short stint of farm league baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers after graduating high school then played football for Spokane Falls before getting injured. Steve met his wife, Angela, in 1999 and they were married the following year on September 2,2000 and they were able to enjoy 25 and a half years together. They welcomed their blessing of a son, Skylar, in the year 2006 who just recently turned 19. Steve played softball in various leagues in the Tri-Cities as well as in Grays Harbor. He was involved in the Washington Jaycees where he served in various positions in Jaycees Chapters and was State President for two years. Steve coached Little League Baseball and Youth Football for many years, as well as serving on Montesano Little League as President for 11 years and on the Montesano Youth Football Board for many years. Steve mentored many young athletes on and off the field. He has left a very large impact in the Grays Harbor Community. His greatest joy in life was watching his son, Skylar, play sports especially the game of baseball and was so proud of him to go on and start playing in college as well.

Steve was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents Robert and Amelia Bove, maternal grandparents James and Trudy Murphy, father Robert Bove, step-father Dean Warrick, and sister Katina Knapp.

Steve is survived by Mother Verena Warrick, Wife Angela Bove, Son Skylar Bove and his beloved dog, Easton. He is also survived by in-laws Jerry and Sheila Linton, along with sisters and brothers in law, aunts and uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Steve held at Montesano High School Gym at 11:00 am on March 15, 2025 with a reception to follow at the Montesano High School Commons with lunch provided.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages people to donate to the Steve Bove Memorial Athletic Scholarship with the Grays Harbor Community Foundation or donate to your local Little League Association.
