Stephen Kalaualii Reeves

Stephen "Steve" K. Reeves, 78, passed away peacefully on October 28, in Loomis. Steve was born on May 29, 1947, in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late Patricia and Wallace Reeves, Sr. He was the eldest of three children. He graduated from San Mateo High School in San Mateo, California. Steve worked as carpenter for 42 years in the building industry. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and earned the Purple Heart. He is survived by his son Stephen J.K. Reeves, his sister Lanier Reeves, his brother Kalau (Judy) Reeves, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. His family will remember him as a man's man. He was the type of person who would choose to repair something over buying a new one. Steve valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man's word. He enjoyed outdoor activities and had a passion for classic cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Steve was known for his infectious smile, his kind and compassionate spirit, and his quick wit. A memorial service will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon on December 5, at 11:00 a.m. "Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace."
