Stephen Lynn Smith

Stephen Lynn Smith our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed on Tuesday September 26, 2017.

Steve is survived by his daughter Angela living in Tennessee, son Joshua (wife Laura) living in Wyoming, his daughter Marisa living in Wyoming, 10 grandchildren, brother Melvin (wife Sheila) from Yakima, sister Patty (husband Bob) from Yakima, Sister-in-law Marlene from Tacoma, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Stephen was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Larry.

Steve was born in Yakima, Washington to Norma Lien and Wilford Smith. After Wilford's passing, Norma married Darryl Hadley. Steve spent some of his childhood in Yakima, Washington. The family relocated to Milton, Washington where he attended Junior High School and Federal Way High School.

Stephen joined the Army and served in Vietnam. He continued to serve his country through his long and successful career as an Engineer with the Veteran's Administration. He lived in multiple locations around the country working and raising in family. After retirement he returned to the Great Northwest.

Steve loved the mountains, the beaches, fishing, the great outdoors, cars and good food. His love and passion for family, friends and life was ever present.

A family Memorial will be announced at a later date.

Godspeed his soul's journey home. We miss him so much and will always carry him on our hearts.
