Susan F Campbell (Gulliford)

Susan was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington.  Throughout her life she also lived in Ocean Park, WA, and Oak Harbor, WA before returning to Vancouver this past summer.  She was a member of the 1965 graduating class of Fort Vancouver High School.

Growing up she loved visiting Grandpa Gulliford’s garden and enjoyed lots of good times picking fruit and veggies from it.  She also enjoyed trips to California to visit aunts, uncles and cousins; especially the trips to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.

She attended the United Methodist Church's in Vancouver (1st Church & Orchards), Ocean Park and Oak Harbor.  She particularly enjoyed working with the youth in Orchards with her Christian clown ministry.  She loved the Lord and professed Jesus Christ as her Savior.

She was a supervisor for Vancouver Memorial Hospital in the switchboard and admitting departments. She also worked in the insurance billing department there as well as the Ilwaco Hospital prior to her retirement.

Susan loved the ocean and spent many summers planning and working with the youth at Ocean Park United Methodist Camp.  Because of her love of the ocean, and at her request, her ashes will be scattered at sea.

She loved animals and spent time volunteering at WAIF (Whidbey Animals' Improvement Foundation) where she adopted her beloved cats.

She also volunteered at the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Oak Harbor, WA.  She was a compassionate person who loved to bring joy to others.  She always had a kind word and a smile for those she met.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Neola (Faye) Gulliford in 2003.  She is survived by her brother, Steve (Gwynne) Gulliford; Sisters, Alexis Z & Annette (Richard) Camp; Nieces, Carol Greca & Lisa (James) Huff; Nephews, Jason Van Camp (Natalie) & Chris (Sasha) Camp; Great Niece, Te'a Greca; and Great Nephews, Alex Greca, Nick Huff, Logan Huff, and Galahad Van Camp.
