Susan L Johnson

Susan "Susie" Johnson, daughter of the late Frank and Jo Johnson, passed away on October 6, 2026, in Bedford, Texas.Born September 28, 1948, in San Angelo, Texas, Susie graduated from Central High school and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from West Texas State University.

Susie stood on school campuses and changed lives one student at a time with her impact as a math teacher and school counselor. One of her greatest joys throughout her life was the connections she made with her students. Although Susie's career took her to varied places, Veribest remained Home to her. In 1985, Susie began restoration on the Matt Johnson family rock house. After completion in 1987, Susie moved into the house and hosted an open house, with over 200 people attending. 

Outside the classroom, Susie was known for her generosity, love of traveling and the family farm, and involvement in Veribest community.
