Susan Kaye Schweidt, born on May 12, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the warmth she brought into every room with her radiant smile.
Susan's career was marked by her versatility and dedication. She began her journey as a beautician in Cleveland, honing her skills and bringing joy to her clients. As her career evolved, she transitioned to selling furniture at Krause's Sofa Factory and RB Furniture, where her keen eye for design and detail shone through. Driven by a desire for new challenges, she further embraced her entrepreneurial spirit by obtaining her Arizona Real Estate license to sell new homes. Perhaps one of her proudest accomplishments was opening her own business, Suzi's Gifts, in Mesa, Arizona, which showcased her creativity and business acumen.
An alumna of Cleveland Heights High School and Beauty College, Susan valued education and personal growth throughout her life. She was not only passionate about her career but also had a zest for life that extended beyond her professional pursuits. An avid tennis player in her younger years, Susan found great joy in the sport. In later years, she embraced her love for travel, embarking on over 50 cruises with her husband, Sheldon. Each journey was filled with adventure and cherished memories, further enhancing the bond they shared.
Susan's family was at the heart of her life. She took immense pride in raising her four children: Lisa Pizer, Aaron Robinson, Michael Schweidt, and Scott Schweidt. She also has 11 grandchildren and 15 great grand children. Her love for them was evident in all she did, and she relished the joy of being their mother. She will also be remembered fondly by her brother-in-law, Alvin Schweidt, who shares in the loss and grief of her passing.
As we celebrate Susan's extraordinary life, we remember her as an outgoing and happy person whose presence uplifted those around her. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
