Terry Owen

Terry Owen has passed away at the age of 81. Born on February 18, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, Terry lived a life filled with adventures and later a deep love for Jesus. He was a dedicated individual who made an impact on those around him through his career as well as his roles as a father, husband, brother and grandfather.

As a young man, Terry found passion in logging in the Northwest and embraced the excitement and challenges it offered. This love for adventure led him to pursue a career in aviation. He became a flight instructor and spent several years working as a pilot in Texas. His enthusiasm for aviation motivated him to continuously learn and grow in this field.

In addition to his pursuits in aviation, Terry ventured into entrepreneurship when he established his own woodstove business in Eugene, Oregon. This endeavor showcased his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to providing quality products and services to the community.

However, Terry's longing for the aerospace industry eventually drew him back in. He joined Lockheed-Martin, where he made valuable contributions throughout his tenure. His passion for aerospace was evident as he undertook the role of F-16 Training Coordinator at Lockheed Martin until his well-deserved retirement.

Terry's dedication to personal growth was equally matched by his commitment as a loving family man. He created a warm and nurturing home with Beverly Owen, his beloved wife, who will forever cherish their shared memories. Together they raised two wonderful children: Chris Owen and Michel Stump. Terry's immense love extended to his son-in-law Gary Stump as well.

As a proud grandfather, Terry found great joy watching Lukas and Sasha Stump develop into remarkable individuals. He reveled in their accomplishments and provided unwavering support throughout their lives.

Terry was preceded in death by his father T.T. Owen and mother Dorothy Faye Owen; however, their love and influence continued to guide him throughout his life. He is survived by his sisters Jerri Lohmann and Jolynn Baxter, as well as his brother Charles Owen.

Terry's legacy is remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the vibrant personality he brought to every aspect of his life. Those who had the privilege of knowing Terry will remember him for his kind heart, wisdom and unwavering dedication to both his work and family.

Terry Owen is dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched. His memory continues to inspire and uplift us as we carry on his values of perseverance, dedication and love.  May he rest in eternal peace.
