Thelma Evelyn Damskov passed away at her home in Apple Springs, in Omak, WA on September 19, 2017, at the age of 89. Thelma was born on October 12, 1927, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to Edward C. and Helen M. Sansom. It was there that she met her future husband, Robert Earl "Bud" Damskov, and the two were married on January 22, 1948. The two left for the USA soon after that and moved to Portland, OR. In 1952 they landed in Moses Lake, WA, where they started and completed their family of three boys (Gordy, Dale, and Rich), and one girl (Missy). The family moved to Chelan in 1968, where they started Damskov Chevrolet. In 1970 they returned to Moses Lake for a brief period, and in 1973 they moved north to Omak, WA, started Damskov Ford, and remained planted there for the remainder of their lives. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, who passed away in 2000, and is survived by all four children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Thelma will be remembered lovingly and will be greatly missed.
