Thomas (Tom) Drew Campbell, 82, of Lebanon, OR, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his home. He was born July 17, 1939, in Emmett, Idaho, son of Roy (Shorty)and Dorothy Campbell. Tom graduated from Eastern Oregon State College in 1966 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. He taught in Emmett, Idaho, and Athena, OR before moving to Lebanon, OR. After teaching more that 30 years he retired in 1997. He also enjoyed being an outside travel agent for several years into his retirement – finding good travel deals for family and friends. He and his wife, Sharon, traveled to many parts of the US as well as cruised . His greatest love and concern was always for his family and he loved planning and cooking for family gatherings. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 61 years, Sharon Ross Campbell; two sons, Dennis S. Campbell of Shelton, WA, and Michael D. Campbell of Coos Bay, OR; four grandchildren, Daniel Campbell, Kathryn Campbell, Rachel Campbell, and Alyssa Campbell Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Mila Thompson and Zakary Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held March 26, 2022 at 3:00 pm at First Christian Church, 170 E. Grant St., Lebanon, OR with Pastor Zane Ridings and Pastor Greg Widener presiding. Remembrances in the form of contributions may be made to the Lebanon Soup Kitchen.
