Thomas Stapleton

Thomas Stapleton passed away peacefully in his home on June 16, 2021 in Medical Lake, WA. Tom was born in Bagley, PA on February 20, 1929 to Oliver and Hazel Stapleton. He grew up in Mount Union PA and and at the age of 18 enlisted in the Air Force. He meet the love of his life Alma States while on leave from the Air Force, and they married in November 1951. During his Air Force career, Tom was stationed in New York, England, Washington, and Guam. Upon his retirement, he and Alma returned to Washington state and settled in the town of Medical Lake. Tom is survived by his wife, Alma. Daughters, Sheryl (Dan) Gosser, and Janice (John) Stanley. Grandchildren Brandon (Adria) Stanley, Teresa Stanley, Lauri (Ryan) Bonnell, Jeremy Gosser, Megan Gosser, and Jennifer (Don) Adams. Great Grandchildren Mallory and Reid Stanley, Chad and John Gosser, Wesley and Eli Gosser, and David and Toby Adams. He was preceded in death by brother Paul Lentz, sisters Virginia Zimmerman, Erma Fleck, and Sylvia Coffman. Tom never met a stranger, and made many friends throughout his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
