Timothy Nathaniel Kenyon

Timothy Nathaniel Kenyon was born in Huntington Park, California, on June 29, 1946, and died on October 19, 2026, in Rocklin, California. He grew up in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Midland, Texas, where he developed the strong work ethic, independence, and sense of responsibility that would guide him throughout his life.

Timothy was married to his ever-loving wife, Suzanne Kenyon, for 56 years. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2023. He was the father of two precious daughters, Kristina Kenyon of Cross Plains, Wisconsin, and Kathryn Swank of Roseville, California. He was the father-in-law of two wonderful men, Gary Wensing and Douglas Swank. In addition, he was the grandfather to three brilliant grandchildren, Kenyon Wensing, Hannah Wensing, and Gage Swank.

Timothy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Sacramento State College in 1970. He earned his Certified Public Accountant certification in 1981. He was employed as a Utility Accountant for Sacramento Municipal Utility District 1971-1977; as a Vice President - Finance and Administration for Herbst Corporation of Little Rock, AR, 1978-1986; as Controller for Davies Electric Supply Co. of North Little Rock, AR, 1986-1987; as Vice President - Finance, Treasurer & Principal for Cera-Mite Corporation of Grafton, WI, 1987-1998; and as Accounting Manager for River Oak Center for Children of Sacramento, CA, 2002-2007.

After retirement, Timothy volunteered with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Service as a Tax Counselor, preparing income tax returns for senior citizens in Roseville, CA, 1999-2011.

With his wife, Suzanne, Timothy made beautiful stained-glass creations for 25 years during retirement. They loved birdwatching during their travels to all fifty states. They also enjoyed travels to Europe and China. He loved to read as well.

A loyal and devoted friend, he treasured the friendships that enriched his life, several spanning decades, including two that lasted an extraordinary 70 years.

He will be remembered not only as a supporter of the arts and an admirer of the natural world, but also as a dedicated advocate for higher education, who generously supported opportunities for advanced learning.

In respecting Timothy’s wishes, no memorial service will be held at this time.
