Tom Champion, 94, of Royse City, TX passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 just one month shy of his 95th birthday.
Tom was born April 27, 1928, in Dallas, Texas where he was adopted by his parents Tom and Fida Champion. Tom served in the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1949, and he had countless stories to share from his time stationed in Japan. He met and married the love of his life, Ruth Knoles in 1964, and shortly after, they bought their home in Dallas, TX where he resided until 2019. During their time on Aldwick Drive, they made many memories together as well as numerous lifelong friendships.
Tom was a two time retiree that still worked full-time for Kroger well into his late eighties. He also loved to play bingo and do word searches in his spare time. Anyone that was lucky enough to know him always had nothing but good things to say about him as well as amazing memories to share.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Fida Champion, and his beloved wife of 44 years, Ruth Champion. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Seanne Champion and husband Jeff Radanoff; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Richard Riley; granddaughter, Amanda Goodwill and husband David; great grandchildren Jake, Levi and Lola Goodwill; as well as a host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private service will be held with immediate family at the DFW National Cemetery at a later time.
