Varryl Lee Hubble

Varryl was born July 2, 1955 in Bellingham, WA to Gordon and Dolores Hubbard and peacefully passed away Sept 20, 2025 at home with family by her side.

Varryl was very active as a teen in Job’s Daughters with Bethel 25 and was elected as their Honored Queen in May 1973. Varryl attended WWU after graduating from Bellingham HS in 1973 and that’s where she met her husband Steve on a blind date in Dec 1974. They quickly fell in love and shared a blessed married life of 47 years together after both graduated with Education degrees from WWU in June 1978.

Varryl loved to travel, and so following and supporting Steve’s Marine Corps Officer 33+ year career with 16 moves around the world was something she enjoyed a lot, so much so that Varryl well documented all their adventures in the many stamping scrapbooks she cherished in making. Varryl had many different jobs and volunteer positions during that time, but because she loved to shop, her favorite was as the Off-Island buyer for the Marine Corps gift shop on Okinawa, Japan. There, she was sent all over SE Asia to buy unique things for the gift shop, and not surprisingly, she couldn't resist to bring home some of those things as well. However, nothing was more important to Varryl than being a loving and nurturing stay home Mom to her daughter Michelle.

At a graveside service, her surviving family, including sister Linda, three grandchildren Levi, Hank, and Mckenzie, will share in our heartache of how greatly she’ll be missed, as well as celebrate her sweet life that blessed so many. We’re eternally thankful she in no longer suffering after a 13 year courageous battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia, and is now with her Savior in Christ Jesus and rejoined with her Dad, Uncle Ford and other close family that preceded her.
