We are saddened to announce the passing of Violet M. Smith. Born in Julietta Idaho to Lawrence and Eva Slead on March 27, 1944 and passed with her family by her side December 31, 2017 at the Hospice House in Spokane. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a caring person that would take care of all she knew. She loved gardening, camping, bird watching and going on road trips to Montana with her beloved Joe. Violet and Joe were married on February 22, 1969.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Smith of 48 years (1-22-17) and much loved son Jack Smith (5-20-17). Parents Lawrence and Eva Slead. Sister Marilyn.
Violet is survived by her much loved daughter Corinna Perkins son in law Dennis Sr. Special grandchildren Dennis Jr. (wife) Branigan, Daniel Perkins, Khrista and Leo in Arizona and five great grandchildren Rylie, Elly, Lynzie, Elijah and Alexander of Spokane. Siblings Jan Rij, Lori Slead, Larry Slead, Don Slead and Jerry Slead. Special family members Bob Love, Jeannette Burrier, Mary Kay Brown, Deb Bower, Von Pearson and so many more.
We would like to thank all of our family and friends that have helped us through this very difficult time this past year. A special Thank you to Hospice of Spokane.
Take care of each other and know I will miss and love you, my mother, father and brother.
