William Edward Corrigan

William "Bill"Corrigan resided in Covington, Washington and passed away May 8th in Covington Hospital. He was 92 years young.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 31, 1925 to William and Anna (Pessano) Corrigan. His father was a Philadelphia policeman and his mother was a homemaker, and a wonderful mother to Bill.

He was very proud to have served our Country in the U.S. Army and was a WWII Veteran. He attended University of Miami, receiving his Bachelors degree. He was Chief of Compliance for OSHA for 17 years, and went on to establish his own construction safety and health company; Compass Consulting Corporation, in 1994; retiring in 2006.

Bill loved to read books and was proud of his extensive library at his home; he had read each and every book. He loved his family, Irish folklore, playing chess, eating hot dogs, and more than anything; his wife Karen Corrigan.

Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen Corrigan; son Brian Corrigan and his wife Nicole, son Scott Corrigan; Karen's family; son Mike LaChance and his wife Jeannette; daughter Barb LaChance-Reynolds; Grandchildren; Katie and her husband Les Davis, Christopher LaChance, Scott Dean, Savannah Reynolds, Noah Reynolds, Kristina and husband Mike Charles, James Corrigan, Marissa Corrigan, and Erin Corrigan. Great grandchildren; Mackenzi Rose, Gracelyn Lori, and Madelyn. He is also survived by very special Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who were always there to count on for support, love and assistance; Phyllis and Tony Schaff, Jackie and Al Miles; we are forever thankful for all the love and kindness shown.

His final request was to have his family and friends gather together and enjoy hot dogs and potato salad, and celebrate life.

Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery; date to be decided.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
The sun shine warm upon your face
The rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
