William Michael Royne

Bill Royne, a.k.a. BooBoo, Papa, 76, passed away Friday September 23, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Bill passed away peacefully at his home in University Place.

He was one of 3 boys born to the late George and Katherine Royne and was beloved husband to Mary Royne for over 40 years. Bill will forever be remembered by his children Trina (Jeff) Koch, Todd Royne and Lisa (Darrell) Mclean, his treasured grandson Caden Royne, and his brother Tom Royne, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Bill loved playing ball throughout his life and just earned his spot in Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame 2016. He also led the wins in horseshoes, enjoyed his annual football board, cards, camping and drinking his ice cold Budweiser.

Bill touched many lives with his infectious smile and kind heart.

Celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2017. Further information will follow at a later date.
