Obituary

William "Skip" Brehmer, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 91.

Skip was born on June 7, 1935, in Hammond, Indiana, to Fred and Leah Brehmer. He later made Tucson, Arizona, his home, where he built a life centered around family, hard work, and the simple pleasures he enjoyed.

Skip retired in 1990 after 35 years with Inland Steel Company, marking the end of a long and dedicated career.

Skip enjoyed staying busy and could often be found working on projects around the home. He had a special fondness for cowboys and Western movies, and he enjoyed gathering around the table for poker and Euchre. He was also a fan of football games and always enjoyed having something to watch or a project to keep him occupied.

Skip was the beloved husband of Jamet Brehmer, his wife of 43 years. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, companionship, laughter, and memories.

He was a loving father to Shari (Ken) Kolodziej, Virginia (Gina) Henson, and Joseph Watterson. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way.

Skip was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine, and his brother, Robert Brehmer.

Skip is also survived by his beloved dogs, Kate and Sophie, who brought him companionship, comfort, and many happy moments.

His family and friends will treasure the memories of his life, his stories, his laughter, and the many everyday moments that made him special. His love and influence will live on through the generations of family he leaves behind.

Skip leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and whose lives are richer because he was a part of them.

Rest peacefully, Skip. You were loved, you will be deeply missed, and you will always be remembered.
