William E
Stacey
April 10, 1953 – June 4, 2026
William E. “Bill” Stacey, 73, of Goodyear, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026. Born on April 10, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, humor, and a deep commitment to serving others. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and welcomed, offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a well-timed joke whenever it was needed.
A graduate of Elder High School and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Bill built a career as a Certified Public Accountant where he dedicated his professional life to supporting nonprofit organizations. He also volunteered his time as a board member for numerous nonprofits while living in Ohio, Texas and Minnesota.
Bill found joy in life’s simple moments. He was passionate about music, enjoyed capturing the world through photography, and loved spending time in nature, where he found peace and wonder. He enjoyed golf and all kinds of trivia, games and friendly competitions that brought family and friends together. He was a devoted fan of Xavier basketball and Vikings football—always ready with a spirited “SKOL!”
Above all, Bill cherished the people in his life. His generous spirit, warm heart and sense of humor touched countless lives and created lasting memories for those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet; his children, Kevin (Karee), Leanne (Derek), and Danielle (Alex); his granddaughters, Loren, Ava, and Hannah; his sister, Jane; his brother, Jim (Mary) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Stacey.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at the Cincinnati Nature Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 28, 2026. Bill’s legacy lives on in the kindness he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you would consider making a memorial donation in Bill’s memory to his beloved alma mater, Xavier University. Contributions may be sent c/o Pam Mack, 3800 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45207 or give online using the following link: www.Xavier.edu/inmemoryofbillstacey
